Grade Documentation

PDI offers several options for documenting course completion. Review the options below and check with your district or state to determine whether an official university transcript is required.

“As a veteran teacher, I was skeptical about online professional development — but PDI completely changed my mind. The course content was relevant, rigorous, and immediately useful. Being able to earn real university credit on my own schedule made all the difference. I’ll definitely be back for more courses.”
— Bill T., High School English Teacher, Ohio

Choose this option if your district or state requires an official university transcript or you want credit toward an advanced degree. Through American College of Education (ACE), PDI courses earn 3 semester credits that may be used for salary advancement, credential renewal, or select M.Ed. programs.

Obtaining Official Transcripts:

Once you have met all the course requirements, PDI will post your final grade and forward your credit paperwork to ACE. You will be notified via e-mail from ACE that your grade has been posted at which time you may request a transcript through Parchment. Digital ACE transcripts cost $8 and are typically delivered within hours. Mailed official transcripts cost $10 and usually arrive within 7–10 days. Expedited mailing options are available through Parchment if needed. Click to view a sample ACE transcript.

Choose this option if your district or state requires an official university transcript. Through UC San Diego (UCSD), PDI courses earn 3⅓ semester units (5 quarter units) of graduate-level continuing education credit, typically used for salary advancement or credential renewal.

Obtaining Official Transcripts:

Once you have successfully completed all course requirements, PDI will post your final grade and submit your credit paperwork to UCSD. UCSD will then record your course and letter grade and process your official transcript. Your official transcript will be provided at no additional charge and should arrive approximately three weeks after PDI issues your final grade. View a sample UCSD transcript.

Expedited Transcripts:

If you need your transcript sooner, expedited processing of your complimentary transcript is available for an additional fee. Your final grade must already be posted before you can request expedited processing.

To request an expedited transcript, email [email protected] with the subject line “Expedited Transcript Request – UCSD.” In your email, be sure to include the date your final grade was posted. Our team will then assist you with the next steps.

Not all teachers are required to provide a university transcript to document course completion. As an alternative, PDI offers a cumulative Grade Report. Simply log in to your My Account page to print your PDI Grade Report.

If you have any questions about your report, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Don’t need an official transcript? Simply log in to your My Account page to print a Letter of Completion showing that you successfully completed your course.
