The Golden Goblet is a story of courage, hardship, determination, conflict, friendship, adventure, and victory. This compelling novel is about an adolescent Egyptian boy named Ranofer whose life has dealt him many unfavorable circumstances. It seems like no matter what Ranofer does, he is constantly afflicted with negative circumstances. And then, one day, everything changes. He discovers a thief amongst the people of the village and knows if he attempts to turn him in, it is a matter of life and death if he does not succeed. He comes to a frightful realization that he lives with the thief. An adventure begins while the mystery unfolds within the walls of Ranofer’s own home. Ranofer devises a plan and in the midst of his plan, meets two people who become his best friends. Ranofer exhibits trust in exposing his plan to Heqet and the Ancient. These new and only friends decide to assist him in this dangerous task. Ranofer is eventually rewarded for his courage, and his hopes and dreams for his future are right in front of him. The Golden Goblet is a gripping story that raises various emotions.
