Course Completion Documents General Information
The Professional Development Institute offers two options to document completion of your online course. Basic information is provided below. For more detailed information on each option, click the appropriate links. Note that you will automatically receive access to a free completion certificate for each PDI course you complete.
Graduate-Level Extension Credit from the University of San Diego: Choose this option if your district/state requires that you present an official university transcript to document course completion. The University of San Diego (USD), in association with the Professional Development Institute, offers graduate-level extension credit for all PDI online courses. USD is a fully accredited university (Western Association of Colleges and Universities) located in southern California. Graduate extension credits are generally used for salary advancement and/or credential renewal. Most PDI courses are worth three graduate-level extension credits (equivalent to 45 hours of training). The cost for three university credits is $230. If you pay for university credit, you will receive an official university transcript with a letter grade upon course completion. Official PDI Grade Report: Not all teachers are required to have a university transcript to document course completion. So, PDI offers the option of obtaining an official PDI grade report. Fees for an official PDI grade report are $15 per report. Click here for more information about PDI's official grade report.
