Graduate Level Continuing Education Units from
the University of Southern California (USC)

The Professional Development Institute, in
association with the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier
School of Education, offers graduate level continuing education units for all of our
online courses. USC is a fully accredited university located in Southern
California. Continuing education units (CEUs) are typically used for credential
renewal and/or salary advancement. Be sure to check with your
district/state for their specific requirements.

What you need to know about obtaining
graduate level continuing education units from USC:
PDI now offers you the option to pay for the PDI course registration
fee as well as the continuing education units with your credit card
in the PDI shopping cart area. Simply select the option that says
"course plus continuing education units."
Most PDI courses are worth five continuing education units which is
equivalent to 50 clock hours of training. We do have a few courses that
are worth just two continuing education units.
The cost for five continuing education units (CEUs) is $200.
It is best to enroll in and pay for the continuing education units
when you register for your course. However, USC allows you to obtain
continuing education units up to six months after completing your
course.
While USC does not have a course enrollment limit, you will be
required to spend a minimum of three weeks in EACH of your
online courses.
In other words,
if you register for two online courses, you will be expected to
spend three weeks in each course or a total of six weeks altogether.
Completion paperwork will not be processed until you
have reached this minimum timeline. Both PDI and USC are intent on
assuring that the participant is able to maximize the knowledge
gained by meaningful involvement in the program.
Once you are issued a final grade for your PDI course, we will send your CEU paperwork
to USC. They will enter your course and letter grade into their
system and immediately send you a transcript at no charge. You will
receive the transcript from USC approximately three weeks after your
final grade is issued by PDI.
Additional transcripts may be purchased for $10. You can request and
pay for additional transcripts online at PDI's website.
