The Magic Hat
When a magic hat blows into town, it lands on residents one by one. As it lands on each person, the person turns into a different animal, much to the delight of a crowd of children who are watching.
When a giant wizard arrives, he takes the hat and distracts everybody with his magic and a large spotted egg. Each animal turns back into a person. Then while everyone is distracted by the enormous chicken hatching from the egg, the wizard leaves town wearing the magic hat and turns himself into a little boy.
Wilfred Gordon McDonald Partridge
Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge is a young boy who lives next door to a home for the elderly. He is friends with every person who lives there. His favorite resident is Miss Nancy Alison Delacourt Cooper. One day, he hears his parents discussing the fact that Miss Nancy has lost her memory. Wilfrid Gordon isn't quite sure what a memory is, so he decides to find out. He asks each of his elderly friends what a memory is and gets different answers from each of them.
Once he has the information about what a memory is, Wilfrid Gordon comes up with an idea to help Miss Nancy find hers. He shares many different objects of his own that each have a meaningful memory attached to them. As he shares each object with Miss Nancy, she is reminded of a memory of her own. Wilfrid Gordon's sharing heart helped Miss Nancy get her memory back.
