Corduroy Literature Unit
By Don Freeman
A little girl is shopping with her mom and spots Corduroy, a teddy bear with a missing button. She wants to get him but her mom will not buy it for her. That night, Corduroy searches for his button all over the mall and gets lost. He is taken back to the toy department by the night watchman. The next day, the little girl comes back for Corduroy with the money she saved in her piggy bank. She brings her new friend home and sews on a button for him. Great story of friendship!
