Lizz's Biography
My name is Lizz Goldman.
I received my undergraduate degree from
Boston
State College in English and Education in 1970. Since that time, I
have
taught English, public speaking, and debate in high school and grades
4-6. I currently teach 4th grade. In addition, for the past three years, I
have
served my school as a Technology Mentor teacher. It is my
responsibility
to work with teachers at my grade level developing units that
can
be successfully completed using classroom computers and the computer
labs
we have at our school. It has been very exciting watching teachers who
previously
had no computer skills, learning to conquer this unknown
territory. Thus began my journey
into
teaching computers to teachers, a trip I am thoroughly enjoying.
I
have written several books and magazine articles specifically for
teachers. This has brought me many opportunities to travel around
California
and the Southwest offering workshop sessions to teachers.
I have
also
had the opportunity to teach at the university level to
preservice teachers. I have a Master's Degree in Special
Education/Gifted
and an Administrator's Credential from San Diego State
University. I am currently working on a Doctorate Degree in Curriculum
Development
and Technology from Claremont Graduate School. My husband
claims
I am a professional student. I guess he's right!
