Jane's Biography
My name is Jane Mitchell. I am currently a Bilingual Resource Teacher for Santa Ana Unified School District. I started teaching in Santa Ana 23 years ago. But I really can’t be that old, could I? Through the years, I’ve taught 4th, 2nd, 1st grades, and yes, kindergarten too. My favorite grades have been the primary ones. As the years have passed, Santa Ana’s LEP population grew. Slowly, I became well versed in how to work with these special need students. I began working as a Resource Teacher about 10 years ago. Through this experience, I became involved in many District committees. This led to becoming a District Staff Development Trainer. I have especially focused in the area of reading, ELD and new teachers.
