Bob's Biography
My name is Bob Patterson. I have fourteen years of experience teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. Currently, I am teaching 6th grade science at a middle school in the Walnut Valley Unified School District, which serves Walnut and Diamond Bar in the east San Gabriel Valley. I am also co-chair of the science department at my school.
I would say my interest in technology arose from my interest in science, which is a closely related field, and my curiosity of how things work. I wanted to stay informed of different aspects in this field, including multimedia, online learning and collaboration, Internet resources and issues, and access to technology for all students. So, two years ago I completed a Master's Degree program with an emphasis in educational technology, and have been putting my education to good use. In addition to my regular teaching duties, I serve on technology planning and webpage committees, as well as being responsible for maintenance and upgrades of computers and peripheral equipment.
